Verbier Snow Report 11.04.12
A nice fresh dump of 10cm today is going to see Verbier’s pistes end the season with a bang! I am sure everyone who attended the Pub Mont Fort Beach Party last night would have had a pretty chilly walk home in their shorts and T-Shirts! More snow coming tomorrow and more end of season parties on the way also! Starting with the Apres closing today, Casbah closing on Saturday and Le Rouge closing party on Sunday.
Verbier Snow Report 08.04.12

Well who was expecting that nice fresh little dump we have just had? As the baby slopes have closed and the spring sun was melting away the snow, down comes some more of the white stuff! More is on it’s way too, the snow is due to continue throughout the week, which is good news for the GAP Instructors about to do their Level 2. Although Ruinettes, Les Esserts and Le Rouge are all closed.
European Snowsport iPod Battle Grand Finale!
After three exciting heats, European Snowsport are hosting the iPod Battle grand finale at the Vernissage on Tuesday. Each team of 4 competes against each other, playing songs from their iPods. The team with the best response from the crowd goes through to the final. ES have a team in the final with our very own Emily Hamilton captaining! The theme this time is movies with different rounds themed by film genres. Make sure you make your way there as it is set to be one of the biggest nights of the season!
European Snowsport Instructor Exams
European Snowsport would like to wish Chris Cookman the best of luck with his BASI level 4 exams in Hintertux next week!
European Snowsport Zermatt – Kids Academy
With the Easter holidays beginning last week, European Snowsport’s Kids Academy has been at its busiest all season with eight kids groups last week! With perfect sunshine all week and amazing spring snow conditions all of the groups were able to experience the whole mountain, even our younger beginners! There are several kids groups running this week and with all the new snow forecast it is shaping up to be another great week!
Zermatt Snow Report – 8.4.12
After the last few weeks of amazing sunshine we had all begun to think that we had seen the last of the fresh snow for the season however, much to our surprise, the temperature has dropped again and we have begun to see a few flakes falling again! Tuesday is supposed to see the heaviest snow fall with 14cm expected over night! The snow is due to continue throughout the week and because the temperatures are anticipated to stay cold we can hope that the powder will be here to stay!
Zermatt Ski Instructor Day Out!
The instructors at European Snowsport Zermatt stayed at Testa Grigia last week for their end of season team get together. They made their way up for about 4pm to enjoy a beer while watching the sun set over Italy. After a traditional Italian meal and a cosy night in the refuge, they made fresh tracks down the 2000 vertical metre ski back down to Zermatt.
Zermatt Instructor Success!
European Snowsport would like to say a massive congratulations to Emma Crowe and Andy Jones who after an exhausting week testing their touring, mountain orienteering and avalanche rescue skills have both passed their Level 3 Mountain Safety in Verbier. Well done guys!
Verbier Snow Report 05.04.12

It’s a little wet down here in Verbier town today, some fresh snow has fallen up on the pistes making them a tad fresher, which is great as with the temperatures we have been getting recently I was worried that there may be no snow left soon! The wet and slightly snowy weather is due to continue until the weekend, with a bright sunny day on Sunday. Check out our facebook page to see the ESSE on tour pictures from the Haute Route.

ES Adaptive Manager, Sam Colby and keen snowboarder, Izzi Lock competed in the Verbier Hi-Five event last Saturday. The pair were in a Mountain Man Bi-ski and were the only adaptive participants. The day was a success and went extremely well, although unfortunately the pair did not win any of the categories! They came 116th overall! A party was held at the Carlsverg resuaturnt in the afternoon with the girls ACDC tribute band, Back:N:Black and plenty of delicious food and drink. Later, a Mega Party was held in resort at Pub Mont Fort with the Pros serving yet more drinks and food.
