Verbier Snow Report 03.02.12

A very foggy, cold day today in Verbier. Sunshine returning tomorrow and potentially right through until Wednesday so with all of that nice snow we currently have, this week looks like a good week to take advantage of the sunhine.
Snow Report 2.2.12
The snow clouds are back! The snow depth at the top of the mountain has now reached 170cm and there has been a light frosting in town. After the extremely busy Christmas and New Year period and before half term begins next week the slopes are much quieter which combined with the new snow and sunshine creates perfect conditions for a great day skiing! The temperature is set to drop to an incredible -31 degrees on Thursday night so it looks as though these conditions are here to stay! We are not expecting too much wind this week but make sure you layer up and don’t forget your neck warmer as we have all certainly been feeling the cold!
Even during the off peak weeks in Zermatt our instructors are still hard at work and this past week has been no exception. The team have been taking full advantage of the amazing conditions in resort and have been busy training almost every day, brushing up their skills in preparation for the rush of half term in a couple of weeks! Make sure you keep your eyes out for our instructor training over the next few weeks, with everyone pushing their skills to the limit it is an impressive sight to see!

So much snow! The piste was brilliant today, I have never seen so much snow on the piste before as I did at Savoleyres this morning. The rest of the week is looking quite nice so if you didn’t go up to enjoy the fresh powder today, at least you have sunshine over the rest of the week to do so.
Snow Report 28.01.12

More and more snow just keeps coming, I certainly did not expect to see this view on the balcony this morning! The snow conditions are great, the piste is nice to ski on but of course with the continuous snowfall visibility isn’t always fantastic. The snow is supposed to be off and on a lot from now until Tuesday.
See you on Tuesday!
Snow Report 26.01.12

After the light snowy days we have been getting this week, the blue skies were a wonderful blessing today, nice fresh snow to ski on and fantastic sunshine! What more could you want? Today looks like the only blue sky day for a little while though, with more snow returning tomorrow and fairly heavy snowfall tomorrow evening. The snow is due to continue all weekend with some bursts of sunshine.
Snow Report 23.01.12

I think the weather man may have told me a few fibs about today being sunny. The sky today has been generally overcast and the temperature has been pretty chilly. More light snowfall due tomorrow, a clear day on Wednesday and Thursday with potential snow returning by Thursday night. Verbier’s piste has been nice to have some fresh snow and hopefully more by the weekend.
Snow Report 20.01.12

So after a glorious week of sunshine we are getting another big dump of snow! 7cm this morning, 10cm by this afternoon and 30cm by this evening. The conditions for skiing today are nice new fresh snow but unfortunately poor visibility, there is more light snowfall due over the weekend with the sunshine returning on Monday. I will be back on Monday to report how the new snow and sunshine is on Verbier’s pistes.

Verbier weather update……
Today the snow was lovely, early morning skiing on quiet pistes was fantastic and can you beat nice snow, quiet pistes and beautiful sunshine?!
The warm weather is coming to an end soon though, with clouds due late tomorrow and light snowfall on Thursday, due to get heavier by Friday. I will be back on Friday for an update of the snow condidtions!
