Mike is the Operations Director of ES. He has over 20 years experience of coaching, training and management in professional sport. Sandy is officially the tallest instructor at ES (reclaimed from Doug). He joined ES Verbier in 2005 and has instructed all over the world (France, Switzerland, New Zealand and.... Rochdale). He is one of the youngest BASI ISTD qualified instructors and delivers a skilled, "northern" approach to skiing. Sandy has coached the ES instructor training programmes for three years. Rachel is one of the new girl to the ES team. She has been living in the French Alps for the last 6 years, basing herself in Val D'Isere for the winters and Chamonix in the summers. Rachel has a huge passion for the mountains. Skiing is a big part of her life. She was brought up to ski in the Scottish mountains from a very young age. She loves every aspect that comes with skiing; the adrenaline, the freedom, the purity, the happiness that it brings. Standing at the top of the mountain with a great bunch of your friends about to ski untouched snow, you can not beat. She has always wanted to share this love for skiing to others. Freya or "Freddie" as she is known on the mountain to many, has worked with ES for 3 years and is now daring enough to work a 4th with us! She lives in Switzerland full time and enjoys everything the alps has to offer from climbing, hiking and biking to the obvious, skiing. Matt RiversMatt has been working back-to-back winters with Europe/Canada and New Zealand/Australia for the last 15 winter seasons and is a BASI ISTD with French equivalence. In the Southern Hemisphere season Matt works in New Zealand as a Trainer for Turoa Ski Area Mt. Ruapehu training the Ski Rookies program in preparation for NZSIA Exams. This will be Matt's fourth season working in Verbier for European Snowsport. He enjoys keeping contact with people he has taught and trained with over the years, hearing about them using their qualifications to gain employment and Instruct skiing all over the world is very satisfying. Matt loves to get out skiing and training with friends and can often be found out on the morning pistes and hunting down fresh tracks. See full interview with Matt Rivers

Laura has been in Verbier for quite a while now after spending the first part of her life doing stuff completely unrelated to skiing. Originally from Australia, she has 3 degrees, a diploma in wine, and speaks French fluently. After a stint as an instructor, she now works in the ES office. J'habite à Verbier depuis 30 ans et je travaille avec ES depuis sa fondation en 2003. J'ai eu la chance de suivre toute son évolution ! Je m'occupe de l'administration de Verbier et Zermatt. Mike started skiing in Scotland at just 14 months old and he loved it then, as he does now. He dedicated his childhood to fitting in as much skiing and other sports as he could. After many years race training, he moved into teaching and race coaching. So that he could concentrate on sharing his huge enthusiasm for skiing, the mountains and ski racing. He has skied and worked all over Europe, as well in the States and a season teaching in New Zealand before landing in Switzerland, first in Grindelwald and he is now back for his second year at European Snowsport in Verbier. Mike is extremely passionate about his skiing, this is evident in all his lessons, he always shares his love of skiing and living in the Alps, while creating a fun and laid back lesson environment. Jonas has been working for ES since the start 7 years ago. Before that he worked as an instructor in Åre, Sweden for five years. He teaches skiing and telemark, both on piste and off piste. He likes long forest walks and evenings in front of the fire. See full interview with Jonas Sundstedt
Anders grew up in the cold north of Sweden and discovered the true happiness in skiing at the late age of 17. He moved to Verbier in 2005 and have been here since. "Rock n Roll" is Anders favorite, both in music and skiing. He doesn't care if it looks rough aslong as it comes with a great deal of passion, just like RocknRoll, Skiing and life in general. Emma learnt to ski in the Scottish Mountains. Moving to the Alps she has done two seasons in Courchevel, five seasons in Verbier working for ES and she can't get enough of it! She enthusiastically continues to train and aspiring to be the best, and passes this on to the people she trains. Erik is also from the north of Sweden. You can say that Erik grew up on skiis and has been competing almost all his life. Becky is an outgoing friendly person who loves working with people and living in the Alps. This is her fifth season in the mountains. She has worked her way from chalet girl to resort manager to ski instructor and gets a real buzz in being able to give skiers more confidence and self belief so they can enjoy their time on the slopes. Rasmus grew up in the north of Sweden same town as Erik Sundstrom and Anders Nystrom from ES. Rasmus Started sking as a 4 year old an from there on its just been more and more. A city girl gone country woman. Swapping her Christian Louboutins for ski boots, Tinka turned her life 180 degrees and left busy schedules and traffic jams behind. Having worked in Berlin, Paris and London she moved to the idyllic Swiss Alps in 2007.
