Kids Academy & Teen Academy (KATA)
Kids and Teen Academies allow those aged between 6-14 and 12-17 to ski with youngsters of similar age, learn together… And make friends!
KATA has run for all 6 seasons in Zermatt and our classes are probably the best in the resort. Part of this is down to the instructors; part, the planning which sees them ski all areas of the resort and part, the organization of matching kids of similar levels of skiing. But mostly it’s due to the kids themselves, who come back year after year…
We offer three skiing levels: Beginner, Blue/Red and Red/Black. We make every effort to get the right kids in the right group from the start, but can also mix and match once the week begins.
Kids Academy & Teen Academy – Key Facts
- Kids Academy is for kids aged 6-14
- Teen Academy is for those aged 12-17 (Check out the Freeski Academy as well!)
- Maximum class size: 6
- Lessons are mornings-only or all-day for Kids Academy, and mornings-only for Teen Academy
- Morning-only lessons start at 9am in the village and finish up on the mountain at 12pm
- All-day lessons start at 9am and finish down in the village at 4pm where the lesson started
- Mondays & Tuesdays start at the bottom of the Sunnegga lift; Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays start at the bottom of the Klein Matterhorn lift
- For All-day lessons, lunch is included in the price
