In my third year as director of the school, I’m at a crossing of the pistes. Now fifty-six, I’m still the archetypal rum English bloke in the Alps. Over the last two seasons I have overseen (Nick was doing all the real work) the development of ES Zermatt from a cottage industry to a respected institution in the resort.
